Handy Tips to Age a Property
This short one hour course is to help you look at ways in which you can look outside the box as to how you can help to identify when a property was built, rather than just relying on visual clues, local knowledge of your working area and the understanding of building construction.

Although an energy assessor is not expected to diagnose or treat damp issues within a property, it is imperative to know how buildings work and what causes breakdowns of heat loss and effective ventilation and condensation, rising damp and water penetration are all key factors in how this can happen.
This course will cover the basics of all three elements, how they are identified and how they potentially can be treated

This a self learning course which you can undertake at your
own pace. There are some revision exercises that you should
undertake but there is no end of course exam. You have
been issued with a CPD certificate with this course and you
should keep the answers to your revision questions for your
Accreditation scheme to see should they wish to.

you can see more information relating to Listed Buildings
and Conservation Areas. Please have a look at these sites
they will reinforce what you are learning.
